この大変さを完璧にわかる国があるとしたら、それはまさに日本ですー卒業生の言葉

栃木県の那須にあるアジア学院はSANEの卒業生アンドレア（飯能にも来たのでご存知の方もおいでかと思います）が2012年に9か月間留学生としてお世話になった関係もあり、すぐにご心配のメールをいただきました。これを、そのころSOJAE(SANEと一緒に活動しているエクアドルの組織)の代表をしていた同じく元奨学生のディエゴ（彼も2011年の震災のすぐあと、SOJAE代表として社会貢献者表彰の式典に出席するために飯能に来て、アジア学院を一緒に尋ねました）に転送したところアジア学院宛に以下のような返信が来ました。英語ですのでそのまま転載させていただきます。
この中で、彼は『自分たちの状況を十分に理解できる国があるとしたらそれはまさに日本です。』
と書いてあります。この言葉は今なぜSANEがエクアドルのために何かできないかと模索していることの意味を教えてくれます。

My Name is Diego Varela, I ‘been part of SANE-SOJAE team for more than 15 years. In 2011 I was on your training center together with YuKo Sugita.

It is a reliefe to let you know that all our colleagues from Sojae and their families are doing well through this hard moment. If there is country that can fully understand this situation, Japan is definitely that country. We appreciate your words.

The situation for our country is difficult, but also the felling of solidarity all over the country has shown that we are going to be able to get over this disaster. The most affected region by the earthquake is Manabí, a province in the cost of Pacific Ocean. Right now Rescue teams are working so hard trying to find people alive under the rest of buildings. The rest of people are donating the basic things needed in this moment and many citizens are working as volunteers.

Thank you again for your concern in our situation, We know Japan is going through a similar situation rig now.
